Membership Fees
Membership of Family History ACT (FHACT) is open to all over the age of 18 with an interest in family history, genealogy or heraldry.
There are a number of options for membership:
- Individual membership is for 1 person.
- Joint membership is for 2 people who reside at the same physical address.
- Membership can be for 1 year or 2 years, from the date of joining.
- The quarterly journal 'The Ancestral Searcher' (TAS), either in digital or paper form, is included in the Individual and Joint membership fee. Note that a membership that includes a paper TAS costs more than a membership that includes a digital TAS.
- Journal-only subscriptions for 'The Ancestral Searcher' (TAS) are available.
- Corporate
- Concession membership is available to those with any of the following Australian Government Concession Cards (Please note that a Seniors' card is not accepted), or in the case of Joint membership, if the primary member holds such a card.
- Health Care Card
- Low Income Health Care Card
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Veteran Gold Card
- Veteran White Card
- Veteran Orange Card

Corporate Membership Fee (effective from 1 July 2021)
- Annual subscription $270 (inc GST);
- This will entitle the organisation to receive two membership cards giving the holder all the rights and privileges of a member provided that the organisation may only nominate one person to vote at a general meeting on behalf of the organisation.
- Recognition as a Corporate Member on the FHACT website, including a link to the business website;
- Display of the business name and/or logo at each monthly meeting;
- ½ page advertising for two issues of The Ancestral Searcher each year;
- Display of business brochures and/or pamphlets in the services area of the FHACT Library;
- Opportunity to meet members and/or give a talk to members at a monthly meeting or learning event.
