Volunteers

The Library is the heart of Family History ACT (FHACT).  Volunteer roles include staffing the Library’s service desk, buying new resources for the collection, assessing donations to the collection, cataloguing items for the collection, maintaining the catalogue database, and care of collection items.  There are also information technology roles in the Computer Team which provides access to the Library’s electronic collections.

Library volunteers receive training and work in teams.  Voluntary work is a good way to build your skills, make new friends, and spend time with some of the Society’s most experienced researchers.
