Calling all Family History ACT members with a passion for local history, writing and storytelling!

Lost on the Limestone Plains: Project kick-off meeting 10am Saturday 27 September.

Register here to attend in-person or via Zoom.

This meeting is open to all FHACT members with an interest in contributing to "Lost on the Limestone Plains".

"Lost on the Limestone Plains" is a new writing project dedicated to uncovering and sharing the stories of the lesser-known or unknown women who helped shape the Canberra region during its first hundred years (or so) of European settlement. While the stories of the pioneering men of the region have been told many times, the women’s stories often remain untold or are even forgotten.

This is an invitation to FHACT writers, researchers, and members with an interest in local history to help bring to life the stories of these women.

Whether you're an experienced writer or keen to assist, come along for a cuppa and a chat, and find out more about this opportunity to be part of a friendly and creative group helping to preserve stories of the women in our region.
