2025 is here - it’s time to see how Family History ACT can help with your research goals

It’s the new year and that means it's time to start thinking about your family history goals for 2025.

The Family History ACT Library will be reopening after our Christmas break on Tuesday 14 January.

Why not explore our Library Catalogue now – you can do this online from your home beforehand – and put together a list of references to review next time you visit.

Or maybe you would like to make use of our online subscriptions to Ancestry, Find My Past, Family Search or the British Newspaper Archive to look for new or updated material.  These resources are free to members when you visit the library at Cook.

Our first event of 2025 will be a meeting of our English and Welsh Special Interest Group on Thursday 16 January when the discussion will consider ancestors who might have been priests or preachers. Click here for more information about this meeting.

The first Monthly Members Meeting for 2025 will be held on Tuesday 4 February 2025 where we will hear from Rob McDonnell from the Australian Cemeteries Project.  Click here to register for this meeting.

We are looking forward to seeing members and visitors at our facilities at Cook soon.
