FHACT Library closed for Xmas

The Family History ACT Library is closed for our Christmas break from Thursday 12 December and will reopen on Tuesday 14 January 2025.

While our society takes a well-deserved break, we encourage you to continue exploring your family history from the comfort of your home. Here are a few activities you might enjoy:

Organise Your Family Records: Use this time to sort through any documents, photos, or records you have collected. Creating a well-organised archive will make your future research more efficient.

Conduct Oral Histories: Take the opportunity to interview older family members about their memories and experiences. These stories are invaluable additions to your family history.

Explore Online Archives: Many genealogical websites and online archives offer free access to records. Take advantage of these resources to further your research.

Read Genealogy Books: Curl up with a good book on genealogy. Whether it's our own guide Family History for Beginners and Beyond or one of our Every Family has a Story volumes, there is always something new to learn.
