New AI in Genealogy SIG Launched!

Council is excited to announce the launch of our new AI in Genealogy Special Interest Group!
This group welcomes members at all levels of interest and experience, from those curious about AI's potential to seasoned users ready to dive deeper into AI applications in genealogy.
The SIG's first meeting will be held on December 16, 2024, featuring an introductory session Unveiling Generative AI: Understanding the power, models and limitations in genealogy. In this meeting, we'll cover the basics of using generative AI, discuss various models and their limitations, and explore how AI can enhance your family history research.
