Join us for a series of events as Family History ACT celebrates our 60th birthday in October

Family History ACT is celebrating 60 years of supporting and assisting family historians in the ACT and beyond.

Join us for a series of events during October 2024 as we mark this milestone …

Tuesday 1 October – Monthly Meeting - 7pm – Hybrid meeting

In the early years of our Society we were closely affiliated with the Canberra & District Historical Society, including having a number of Joint Meetings. In October 2024 we are reviving that tradition for our October Monthly Meeting with a program that includes four speakers and is built around Memories of Canberra:-

  • A Blast from the Past: Canberra-Queanbeyan in the Swinging '60s – Mark Butz
  • I grew up with Ken Berra – Jo Callaghan
  • Time and Place: Historical records for family historians held by C&DHS – Peter Dowling
  • From Archives to AI: Celebrating 60 Years of Local ACT Projects - Sue Pillans
