2023-24 ACT Heritage Grants
11th September 2023
By Cheryl Bollard
The ACT Heritage Minister, Rebecca Vassarotti, announced on Tuesday that FHACT had received funding to create a book celebrating the achievements of our society over the last 60 years.
The book will focus on the Society's achievements and contributions to the Canberra community from 1964 to the present. Key milestones in the city's development will be explored through our history, heritage memorabilia and manuscripts, including the Society's role in preserving and recording Canberra's past. It will also look at the changes in how genealogy research is conducted and its impact on our research.
It will be launched in October 2024 to coincide with the Society's 60th Anniversary celebrations. More information on how you can contribute to the project will be available shortly or you can contact treasurer@familyhistoryact.org.au for more information.
