Come to the free conservation clinic on Sunday 13 November at the Hall Heritage Centre.

We all have family heirlooms that are special to us - things that we want to last so that we can pass them on to future generations. They could be documents, photographs, clothing, crockery, medals etc.

Come to a conservation clinic at the Hall School Museum and Heritage Centre on Sunday 13 November to receive professional advice on proper storage, handling, display and copying.

In partnership with Family History ACT and the Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material, experts will be at the clinic to give advice on how best to look after your treasures.

Meet volunteers from the Hall School Museum and Heritage Centre, Family History ACT and conservation experts:

  • Ian Batterham. (Lecturer Material Conservation, University of Canberra; President AICCM ACT)
  • Monica Connors (National Film and Sound Archive)
  • Natalie Ison (Museum of Australian Democracy)

The clinic is free, but donations to the Hall School Museum and Heritage Centre are much appreciated.  All welcome.

Taking Care of your Treasures – A Conservation Clinic is on Sunday 13 November between 1.00pm and 4.00pm at the Hall School Museum and Heritage Centre, Palmer Street, Hall.  All enquiries to museum@hall.act.au
