Volunteer at Family History ACT
3rd March 2022
By Cheryl Bollard
Like many Family History Societies, Family History ACT relies on the work of our volunteers to keep our Society thriving.
From the newsletters to the Library to our SIGs and SUGS, every part of Family History ACT is run by volunteers.
Volunteering is easy and very rewarding, particularly for those special members who are our Library Volunteers. As the public face of our Society, they assist with enquiries, help with member services and promote the society's activities. There are no special skills required, just a willingness to help people.
We are looking to increase our pool of volunteers for the Library and will be holding an information session over a morning tea on March 26 for anyone interested.
Rosemary will introduce the key volunteers involved in running the Library and there'll be a chance to learn what's involved as a Library volunteer. The session will conclude with a tour of the Library.
Register here to attend. If you are interested in volunteering in other areas contact the volunteer co-ordinator.
