From the 17th to the 20th century, over three million Britons served in India and South Asia in the military, government, or the prosperous community, and many of our members have links into the community.
Researching your family member can prove a little challenging, so this month, Mary Anne Gourley, from Families in British India Society will be joining us to discuss tips for searching the records. Mary- Anne is their Australian representative. .
The Families in British India Society is well known for its work in indexing the British India records and making them more accessible for all researchers. Their website has several databases and a very informative Wiki to aid your research.
