Family History ACT Library Open Day

Saturday 2 May 1.00pm – 5.00pm. Venue: Family History ACT Library, 41 Templeton Street, Cook, ACT.

All welcome: FREE.

To celebrate ACT Heritage Month, Family History ACT is opening the doors of its specialist research library and inviting the community to explore the fascinating world of family history.

Whether you are just beginning your family history journey or have been researching for years, the Library Open Day is a great opportunity to discover the extensive resources available to help uncover your past. Drop in, browse the collection, meet fellow researchers, and enjoy a cuppa with our friendly volunteers.

A highlight of the afternoon will be one-on-one consultations with experienced family history researchers. These personalised sessions are designed to help you move forward when your research has stalled. They’ll offer practical advice, suggest valuable resources, and help you plan the next steps in your research.

🔎 Bookings are essential for the individual consultations, and places are limited. To make the most of your session, bring along a specific question or research challenge.  30-Minute Sessions are available between 1pm and 4.30pm.  BOOK HERE.
