Join Debra Carter, Research Team Manager at AncestryProGenealogists as she discusses:

With a formal education in genealogy and local history and an early career in international commercial shipping, Debra’s primary area of genealogy expertise is the research of Australian and associated migratory records. She researches the major subscription databases and social history, finding and adding depth, context and colour to family history stories. She is a full member of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (AGRA), the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Society of Australian Genealogists. Debra also has an ongoing one-name study with the Guild of One-Name Studies (Fleeson).

She enjoys family history tutoring, having built and delivered courses to adult learners in the UK and Australia. Being actively involved in the genealogy and heritage community and presenting talks on various genealogical subjects is something that Debra finds very rewarding
