August Monthly Members Meeting
22nd July 2022
By Sue Pillans
To kick off Family History Month, our August Monthly Members Meeting speaker is Karen Rogers from the Guild of One-name studies. A one-name study is a project researching all occurrences of a surname, as opposed to a particular pedigree (ancestors of one person) or descendancy (descendants of one person or couple). Karen will be talking about the Guild, its resources and how it can further our family research. With 2553 members conducting 2339 studies that list 8,267 different surnames, it’s possible your family’s name is listed with the Guild.
