The DNA Special Interest Group Meeting is a hybrid meeting for members with an interest in using DNA for genealogy. Members should purchase a ticket to attend either in-person or via Zoom. After registering to attend via Zoom you will receive an email with a link to the external Zoom website to complete the registration.

The topic for this meeting is:

"Terminology, Techniques and Testing companies"

This is a revision session for anyone but the most experienced. No question is too basic, too left field or too irrelevant. Taking questions from the floor, those in the room will try to answer them for the benefit of everyone. Prepared slides will only be used after a relevant question, or in the absence of any more questions. It is hoped that this session allows you to face 2026 with a clear and useful sense of what genetic genealogy can offer. We'll expect to talk SNPs, segments, cMs, clusters, chromosomes, labelling, WATO, DNA-ready trees, shared matches, enhanced shared matches, Banyan, chromosome painting, communicating with matches, looking for living people, cousinship and probably more.

Can't figure out how to find matches at other companies, to use their chromosome browsers? With luck, someone in the room will know how.
