Making Sense of Your DNA Matches – A Hands-On Workshop
Have you tested with AncestryDNA and found yourself staring at a long list of matches, unsure where to start?
This practical workshop will show you how to break down your matches into grandparent groups (Leeds method) and great-grandparent families (coding techniques), helping you turn cousin connections into real branches on your family tree.
Together, we’ll:
-
Explore Ancestry’s built-in tools for sorting and grouping matches
-
Learn step-by-step techniques to identify where your shared DNA segments belong
-
Work on your own results so you can apply what you learn straight away
What to bring:
-
Your laptop or device
-
An active AncestryDNA account with a tree and results available
-
Some pre-reading required
-
An optional follow-up session is offered.
Come ready to dive in, explore your matches, and leave with the skills and confidence to take your DNA research further.
