This course is a hybrid meeting open to members of the public and FHACT members. After registering to attend via Zoom, you will receive an email with a link to the external Zoom website to complete the registration.
Join our family history course and journey to uncover your ancestral roots. Designed for beginners, this course will introduce essential research techniques, key historical records, and tools to help you build your family tree. Learn how to navigate archives, explore online databases, and piece together your ancestors' stories.
The course will be followed by a series of one-hour lectures held on Monday evenings, open to everyone as a refresher. Topics include Trove, Genealogy Paid Sites, and DNA. Details of these lectures can be found separately on the "What's On" section of our website. All sessions will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing.
