Join Barbara in the Education Room for a talk on starting Irish Research.

In our book Family History for Beginners and Beyond, the chapter on Irish research states:

“Many Australians claim Irish descent, and there is an ever-increasing number of resources available to assist with finding those elusive Irish ancestors and to allow you to understand their life and times. Don’t be deterred by those who say all the records were destroyed-they weren’t- but there are challenges ahead for you if you research ancestors in Ireland.”

Barbara Moore runs the Irish Special Interest Group and is a very experienced Irish Researcher.
