The topic for this meeting is:

At this meeting our guest speaker is Dr Anne-Marie Schwirtlich: Researching the experiences of British women who were widowed in India between 1860 and 1900, Dr Anne-Marie Schwirtlich consulted a wide variety of contemporary sources in order to glean biographical information about 260 widows.
