FHACT June Monthly Meeting is a hybrid meeting. Members and guests interested in attending should register for this event via Zoom or in personAfter registering to attend via Zoom, you will receive an email with a link to the external Zoom website to complete the registration.

The topic for this meeting is:

"How to find the land records in NSW – by location or the purchaser's name."

Land research can tell us much about how our ancestors lived and worked, help us find out the truth about stories we've heard, and give us a much richer picture of our ancestors' social and economic position. If they owned a house, business premises or rural property, there are records to be found, many of which contain a wealth of information.

Carole Riley has recently published a second edition of her book Land Research for Family Historians. Carole is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, to whose standards and code of ethics she aspires. She is a Fellow of the Society of Australian Genealogists. She has served as a Vice President and Honorary Editor of the journal, Descent and is a regular speaker on educational topics. She founded the Sydney User Group of The Master Genealogist (TMG).
