Family Tree Maker SUG (Information)
The Family Tree Maker Software User Group Meeting is a hybrid meeting for members with an interest in using Family Tree Maker software for their genealogy research. Members should register to attend this event by logging in and selecting the event with "(Register)" in the title.
The topic for this meeting is:
Simple uses of the Filter tool and making & using different types of notes in Family Tree Maker
Lyn Hudson-Williamson will demonstrate some of the relatively simple ways in which to use the Filter tool in FTM. This tool allows us to retrieve specific types of information according to criteria we are interested in. An example might be to find all the people in our database who were buried in a particular cemetery. We will also continue to discuss another basic feature of FTM -- the different places where we can make notes about our research, e.g. Fact notes, Person notes, Research Notes, Sources notes. We will discuss the ways in which different members use this feature, how they may affect our reports and which notes are synced to Ancestry family trees.
If you are interested in this event, you might also be interested in the many other benefits of membership. See Membership Benefits for more information or go straight to Join or Renew.
