The Heraldry Special Interest Group Meeting is for members with an interest in Heraldry. Members including registered Heraldry SIG members should register to attend this event by logging in and selecting the event with "(Register)" in the title.
The topic for this meeting is:
Royal Cyphers.
In modern heraldry, a royal cypher is a monogram of a country's reigning sovereign, typically consisting of the initials of the monarch's name and title and often surmounted by a crown. In this well-illustrated talk Mr Coleman will discuss the earliest introduction of such cyphers to their use in the present day.
