English & Welsh SIG (Information)
The English & Welsh Special Interest Group Meeting is a hybrid meeting for members with an interest in English or Welsh genealogy. Members should register to attend this event by logging in and selecting the event with "(Register)" in the title.
The topics for this meeting are:
"Cheryl's Circus Folk PLUS Changing Boundaries"
1.Cheryl's Circus Folk by Cheryl Bollard. This was postponed from our August meeting. We'll hear stories of Cheryl's family in an unusual and mobile profession.
2.Changing Boundaries by Pennie Pemberton. From Cumbria to Kent by way of Dyfed: Ancient and modern English and Welsh counties. This will cover things like the ancient (historical and ceremonial) and modern (post 1975) counties, boroughs, cities and subdivisons like hundreds,hides,ridings and wards; as well as Parliament and Quarter Sessions.
