The Heraldry Special Interest Group Meeting is for members with an interest in Heraldry. Members including registered Heraldry SIG members should register to attend this event by logging in and selecting the event with "(Register)" in the title.
The topic for this meeting is:
The D'Arcy Pedigree by William Camden.
William Camden (1551-1623), Clarenceux King of Arms, drew up the pedigree of the D’Arcy family, coving the period 1066-1618. This document provides wonderful examples of early differencing, impaled arms reflecting marriages, and early use of brisures. It’s a visual feast of heraldry.
