The topic for this meeting is:

Heraldry of the Puritan Monarchy.

Following the failed English parliamentary republic from 1649 – 1653, the Protectorate of Oliver Cromwell and his son Richard from 1653 – 1659 was, in essence, a Puritan monarchy which saw further reforms to the Church of England and the ancient royal institutions.  This presentation focuses on the heraldry of this turbulent period.
