Finding Irish Records on that trip
Most researchers have a desire to visit Ireland to see where their ancestors came from. In addition, they may wish to visit record repositories that have records not on the internet.
While the National Archives in Dublin has many useful records, there are many other places where you might go in search of the traces left by your ancestors.
Importantly, you may need to consider records in England. Not just the National Archives in Kew many other repositories. The National Archives at Kew has many useful records relating to the military, civil service and courts. Other records may end up in obscure places because, say, the land-owner had property in England or elsewhere.
Nick will provide insights from his latest trip and a broader perspective from other trips.
