What can you do using the Sources Workspace in Family Tree Maker?

Family Tree Maker provides many different places in which to add, edit, view and manage our source citations. While many of us will be working with source citations as we add or edit people and facts in the People Workspace, the Sources Workspace is a useful part of the program to become familiar with. The Sources Workspace gives us a more 'global' view of the sources we have added to our FTM file and can help us become more consistent in how we manage them.

We can view and sort all our sources by people, title or source repository, see all the citations which have been entered for a specific source, view all the individuals and facts linked to a source citation (and add new ones), edit sources and citations, view and edit notes and media items linked to sources. During this meeting we will explore and discuss the different ways we can use the Sources Workspace to support our work in FTM.
