Searching for Irish ancestors in newspapers 

While law-abiding poor people were rarely mentioned in early newspapers, there is a wealth of interesting aand informative articles in newspapers about people with connections to Ireland. These days with powerful search engines such as the British Newspaper Archive, Irish Newspaper Archive, Trove and Papers past, you may be able to find some vital facts from the past with a modest amount of effort.
