Constitution, Bylaws & Policies
Family History ACT is governed by a Constitution that determines the rules under which it can legally operate as a non-profit incorporated association in Canberra according to the ACT Associations Incorporation Act 1991. The most recent version is from 7 May 2019.
The Bylaws relate to the proper administration, control, and management of Family History ACT (FHACT) affairs, interests, and operations and are formulated by Council from time to time as necessary.
In addition to the by-laws, policies are also used for governance. Included on the website are:
- Conflict of Interest policy
- Health & Safety Policy
- COVID policies.
